Rita Ann Sampson, age 68 and a resident of Auburn Lane in Columbia, passed away October 18, 2013 at Signature Healthcare.
Rita was born June 3, 1945 in Gary, Indiana to the late Augustine Paloncy and the late Julia (Pohl) Paloncy. Rita married William L. Sampson January 5, 1963 and together they shared two children. She was a retired banker and extraordinary homemaker. Rita was of the Catholic Faith.
A celebration of life will be conducted at a later date.
Rita, a loving wife and mother, is survived by her husband: William Sampson of Columbia; two children: Julia (Guy) Trueblood of Indiana and William (Ladan) Sampson of California; beloved grandchildren: Adam Curtis, Colin Curtis, Benjamin Sampson, Michael Curtis and Simon Sampson.
