Riley “RiRi” Murray Martin of Pulaski passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2017 at VA Medical Center Hospital in Murfreesboro. He was born in Lynnville, TN on June 8, 1949 and was 68 years old.
He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He served in the United Stated Marines and fought in the Vietnam war. He had a dedicated love for God and was a deacon and Sunday school teacher at the Matthew’s House of Praise. He enjoyed fishing, Atlanta Braves baseball, and Vols football.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 14th from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home
Funeral Service will take place on Friday, September 15th at 11:00am in the chapel of Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremiah Gardner officiating.
Burial will take place at the Everbright Cemetery
He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Edmonia Pullens Martin, sisters, Gloria Jean Martin, and Ruth Reynolds and brothers, Robert William Maxwell and John Henry Maxwell.
He is survived by his,
Wife, Alfreda Martin of Pulaski
Daughter, Valatta Martin of Columbia
Son, Demetrius Perry of Pulaski
Son, Derrick Perry of Pulaski
Grandchildren, Desiree Perry, Deidra Perry, Lane Perry, Marques Martin, MaKaleb Perry, MaKinna Perry, and Amanda Brown.
Great grandchildren, Jaliyah Perry, Braeia Smith, Eva Smith, Casyen Gentry, and Collin Gentry.
Brother, David Martin of Kentucky
Sister-in-laws, Sheila Maxwell, Juanita (John) Townsend, Brenda (Greg) Tuggle, Carolyn Westmoreland, and Glenda Brown
Host of nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Bennett-May-Giles County Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements for Riley “Ri Ri” Murray Martin.
