Ricky Lynn Bannister, a lifetime residence of Arab, Alabama passed away Saturday, August 10, 2024 in the Hulaco community of Joppa. Ricky was born March 28, 1955 in Arab, AL, son of Adrian Montgomery Bannister and Mary Ottis Riggings Bannister. He was married to Karen Pugh who preceded him in death. He was a US Army veteran and worked in construction as a carpenter.
Family members left behind to cherish their memories of Ricky include his sons, Robert Pugh, Ronald Pugh, and Donald Pugh; granddaughter, Emily Pugh, brother, Danny Bannister; three half-sisters; three half-brothers; niece, Lexie Bannister; nephews, Kenny Bannister, Brandon Bannister and Brian Bannister; special friend and caregiver, Cindy Heck; and many close friends. Preceding Ricky in death were his wife, Karen Pugh; mother, Mary Bannister; father, Adrian Bannister; and grandson, Matthew Pugh.
Services for Ricky are planned for Wednesday, August 14, 2024. The visitation will be at Arab Heritage Memorial Chapel from 12:00 noon until 1:30 p.m. We will then reconvene at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Oak/Ruth Cemetery for a graveside service and interment. Officiating services will be Brother Brad Howard. Pallbearers will be Robert Angel, Doug Green, Eddie Cox, Charles Creekmore and Matt Lantz.
