Ricky Leon Cosby, 64, of Cherokee, AL passed away January 7th, 2018. Visitation will be Wednesday, January 10th at Morrison Funeral Home, Cherokee from 6:00p.m. until 9:00p.m. The funeral service will be Thursday, January 11th, at 1:00p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Dwight Rivers officiating. Burial will be in Harris Chapel Cemetery.
Ricky was a lifelong resident of Cherokee and a proud owner of Ricky’s Custom Cabinets. He was loved by everyone he met, and was always willing to do anything he could to help someone. He is preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Elizabeth Cosby.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years and high school sweetheart, Janice Cosby; daughter, Kimberly Richardson; and grandchildren, Mallory, Rikki-Leigh, and Jackson, all of Cherokee, his beloved pet, his pride and joy, Priscilla; brother, Terry (Melanie) Cosby, Cherokee; sister, Joanie (Rick) Weeks, Clarksville, TN., Ann (Keith) Sockwell, Karen (Roger) Fuller, Tuscumbia, AL., and a very special sister-in-law, Joyce Simon.
He was an avid Alabama football fan, military history enthusiast, and a United States Marine Corps Veteran.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Grissom, Melvin Carmack, Buddy Cook, Mike Patrick, Greg Patrick, and David Patrick.
