Ricky Franklin Brooks, age 54 of Tuscumbia, died Thursday, December 29, 2016. His family will receive friends Sunday, 12-2 p.m. at Morrison Funeral Home, Tuscumbia. The funeral service will follow in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Seth Hood officiating. Burial will be in Mitchell Cemetery.
Ricky was preceded in death by his father, Richard Brooks, sisters, Dorothy Borden, Gracie Hester and brother, Wayne Brooks.
He is survived by his mother; Mary Brooks, brother; J. C. Brooks and wife Venisa, sisters; Brenda Williams, Gail Reeves and; a host of nieces and nephews.
Ricky was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide fan Roll Tide! “He was the joy of our lives”. The family expresses special thanks to the responding fire departments during the storm and to the staff of the Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit of Huntsville Hospital.
Pallbearers are Justin Brooks, Marshall Brooks, Donald Williams, Tim Inman, Clay Inman, Jalen Johnson, Jerry Howard and Ryan Rikard.
