Ricky E. Lowery, aged 68, passed away peacefully at home on October 18, 2022. He was met at the gates by his parents, Helen and Gene Lowery; and daughter, Rebecca Lowery.
He is survived by his loving wife, Mickie Lowery of Toney; daughters, Nicole Lowery and Misty Lowery-Haney and husband Jeffery Haney; four grandchildren, Ricky Lowery, Grant Haney and fiancée Taylor McKenna, David Lowery and fiancée Haylee Smith, and Rebecca Lowery; sister Carolyn Knox of Sylacaga; brothers, Phillip Lowery of Moulton and Mike Lowery of Moulton; and several nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
Ricky spent his younger years as a farmer in both Madison and Limestone Counties and went on to pastor for forty years, seventeen of which were spent at Greenbrier Baptist Church in Madison where he preached the Word and served the Lord with all his heart.
Everyone that knew Ricky Lowery felt his love for Jesus, his family, his church, and everyone he ever met.
The visitation will be Sunday, October 23, 2022 from 1:00pm to 3:00pm at Greenbrier Baptist Church followed by a funeral service.
His pallbearers will be Ricky Lowery, Grant Haney, David Lowery, Dominique Clemons, Jeffery Haney, Lanny Towe, Kieth Dodd, and Eugene Haney. Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Macon, Marvin Greeson, and Ben Guise.
