Ricky Allen Roberson, 57, of Florence passed away on October 06, 2015 at Eliza Coffee Memorial Hospital. He was a member of St. John United Methodist Church and a charter member of the Shoals Frisbee Club. Rick loved helping people, even in death, as an organ donor; he helped countless people he never met.
Visitation for Mr. Roberson will be on Friday, October 09, from 10 a.m. – 12:00 noon at St. John United Methodist Church. The funeral service will begin at 12 Noon with the Rev. Greg Burnett officiating. Burial will follow in Wesley Chapel Cemetery.
Mr. Roberson was preceded in death by his mother, Polly Roberson; 2 brothers, Randy and Doug Roberson.
Survivors include his father, Randle Roberson and his sister, Linda Day (Ron); and a host of family and friends.
Active pallbearers will be Phillip Peck, David McGee, Will Clemmons, Larry Brown, Roger Reed, Billy Carl Morrow, Dennis Morgan and Melva Wylie.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Lindsey, Kyle Boatwright, Kevin Boatwright, Chris Suggs, Derrick Lawson, Jeremy Lawson and Kevin McLemore.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any location of SunTrust Bank to the Ricky Allen Roberson Trust Fund.
