Rickey Lee “Porkchop” Young was born September 6, 1962 in Bolivar, TN, the son of the late Harold Thomas and Ruby Mae Baker Young.
He was united in marriage to Cindy Louise Moore on February 3, 1984. He worked for the City of Adamsville Parks and Recreation. Porkchop helped umpire Dixie Youth, helped with the chain gang for Adamsville High School football home games, and helped Teddy Hughes run the scoreboard for the Adamsville Jr. High football home games. He also worked at the Pickwick drag strip on weekends. He loved Nascar, sports for all ages, and spending time with friends and family.
Mr. Young departed this life on May 9, 2016 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 53 Years, 8 Months, 3 Days.
He is survived by his wife Cindy Louise Young; his children: Samuel Anthony Young, Joseph Adam Young, Leslie Louise Young all of Adamsville, TN; two sisters, Laura McBride and husband Terry of Bolivar, TN, Donna McArthur of Middleton, TN; special friends: Brandon Gray, Bubba Martin, Teddy Hughes and Terry Newcomb; and a host of nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Young was preceded in death by a son, Matthew Young; a sister, Sherry Young; and his stepfather, Donnie Mayfield.
