Rickey Carl Treece Jr., age 42 of Double Springs, passed away Thursday, March 27, 2025. He was born August 25, 1982 to Rickey and Theresa Treece. Rickey was a hard worker, enjoyed being outdoors, and loved his family dearly. His family was his pride and joy and would stop doing anything to help them. Rickey would give his last dime to help anyone in need. He was always laughing and joking around, he made everyone around him happy. To know him was to love him. He loved going hunting and fishing, but he talked about it more than he went. Always storytelling about big bucks he killed. Animal lover, from chickens to dogs, especially his chickens. He could be described as “One in a Million”. Rickey will be missed by his family, friends and anyone that knew him. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. at Lighthouse Community Church in Haleyville, Alabama (Wakefield Road), where a service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill No.1in Houston, Alabama. Brother Alvis Treece will officiate. Rickey is survived by his children, Carl Treece, Megan Treece, and Jazzlyn Treece; mother, Theresa Treece; brother, Jake Treece (Melissa); sister, Cora Cleghorn; nieces and nephews, Thomas Treece, Jacob Treece, Kadence Pearson, Colton Pearson and Jaxon Cleghorn; and a slew of Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and Friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Rickey Treece; best friend, Randy “Woody” Dickinson; grandparents, Pauline and Albert Treece, Imogene Jefferys, and Zino Fenley; uncle, Victor Fenley; aunts; Lila Mae Teece and Evelyn Fulcher.
