Rick Wroten passed away on December 21, 2021. There will be a graveside service on Monday, December 27, 2021, at 2pm at Colbert Memorial Gardens. Don McGuire will be officiating.
He is survived by his wife, Laney Estey Wroten and his son Beau, his mother, Lanita Wroten, sister Karen Hinson and her husband Joel, brother Marc Wroten and his wife Jennifer, his nieces, Cassidy Hinson and Emery Wroten, his nephew, Charles Wroten, and his grandmother, Bobbie Jones.
Rick was preceded in death by his father, Curtis Wroten, grandparents Price and Roberta Wroten, grandfather Rayford Jones, and niece Brooklyn Paige Wroten.
Rick was a lifelong resident of the Muscle Shoals area. He graduated from Muscle Shoals High School in 1996. Rick worked at Wherehouse Music (formerly Blockbuster) in the late 1990s. He also worked at E. S. Robbins, Terminix, and for several years at Essity North America (formerly SCA Tissue) in Barton. Rick was an avid sports fan, especially Alabama football. He enjoyed watching movies and could quote many of his favorites. Rick could remember everything and was the person his family went to for help recalling names, dates, and many other memories of past times. He will be remembered as a loving father, husband, son, grandson, and brother.
