A Private Family Memorial Service for Rick Lucas, 66, will be held by his family at a later date.
Mr. Lucas died on Saturday, August 26, 2023 at his residence. He was born October 5, 1956, to Charles Ray Lucas and Genive Hemwich Teet.
He was born in Queens, New York and raised in Florence, Alabama. He was a graduate of Bradshaw High School and was an Economics major of Florence State College. Mr. Lucas also served with the Army Rangers in the Vietnam War, earning the Silver Star, Bronze Star and the Purple Heart. He lived in Hartselle for 20 years and has worked as a General Contractor all over Alabama.
Mr. Lucas loved his family dearly and was loved by them whole-heartedly. He will be missed by those who loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents.
