Funeral service for Richard Wayne Coots, 77, will be Thursday, June 29, 2023 at 1:30 PM at First Baptist Church of Falkville with Bro. Stephen Cannon and Bro. David Currie officiating and Peck Funeral Home directing. His body will lie in state at the church for one hour prior to the service, Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery in Cullman County. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Peck Funeral Home.
Mr. Coots passed away on Monday, June 26, 2023 at his residence. He was born August 29, 1945, in Cullman County, to William Richard “Boss” Coots and Annie Lorene Handley Coots.
He was the Owner and Operator of Coots Transportation for 34 Years. He was a Southern Baptist and served as a Deacon for many years at First Baptist Church of Falkville. He enjoyed Geneology and because of God’s grace, he loved the Lord and his family very well. He married the love of his life, Patsy, and they were together for 55 years. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Brother – Wade Coots (Margaret)
Grandchildren – Olivia Tapscott, Emma Tapscott and Piper Coots
Pallbearers will be Carl Hicks, Greg Coots, Cole Hicks, Chad Halbrooks, Cade Holmes and Drew Lawrimore.
