Richard W. Duffey, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2023.
Richard is survived by his wife, Sheri Graveman Duffey; daughters, Karen D. Miller (Chris), Kristin Collier, Kimberly Greer, Karol McConnell (Brent); grandchildren, Noah Miller, Keagan Miller, Quinn Miller, Eden Scroggins, Lily Scroggins, Annika Collier, Kelly Trantham, Katie Trantham, Lucas Free (Ariana), Lotus McConnell, Joshua Batts and Kaleb Batts; great granddaughter, EvaGrace; brother, Mike Duffey.
He was preceded in death by his dad, Frank Duffey; his step dad Tom MacLeod; his mom, Marion MacLeod; and granddaughter, Ashley Trantham.
Richard served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He had a lifelong passion for the outdoors: water activities, gardening, camping, etc. He had a soft spot for all small animals. He enjoyed working with his hands on projects big and small; woodworking, models, home improvements, and the list goes on and on! He had a deep love of learning, enjoyed sharing his knowledge, and making every experience a teachable moment. He will be sorely missed by everyone who knew him!
A celebration of life funeral service will be Saturday, January 28, 2023 at 2:30 pm at Moss Service Funeral Home; burial will follow in Welti Cumberland Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm at the funeral home.
