Richard V Rogers Profile Photo We sadly announce the passing of Richard Verl Rogers on October 10, 2024, of Lewisburg, TN. Richard, as he was known to many, was born in Richmond, IN, on March 1, 1944. He lived a rich life filled with love and joy until he peacefully passed.

A proud Army veteran, Richard served his country diligently from 1974 to 1986. He cherished his time in the service and exemplified the values of loyalty and dedication throughout his life.

Richard’s love for country music, football, old TV shows, and his passion for nature were well-known to all who knew him. He had a special place in his heart for animals, especially the birds and squirrels he lovingly fed. Richard’s green thumb was evident in his beautiful garden, where he nurtured vibrant flowers that filled his home with colorful blossoms.

His uplifting spirit and positive attitude towards life touched all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Richard adored eagles and found inspiration in their majestic nature, mirroring his own proud and resilient character.

Richard is survived by his loving spouse, Mary Inabnitt, who was his steadfast companion; his sons, Ricky Rogers (Shekia Cole-Rogers), Jimmy Inabnitt, and Vernon Inabnitt (Angela); daughters, Melissa Martin (Richard) and Becky Lewter (Tim); grandchildren, Hannah, Hunter, Sara Beth (Ryan), Katilyn (Ross), great grandchild, Reese; and numerous other family members.

A visitation will be held at Bills-McGaugh & Hamilton Funeral Home on October 14, 2024, at 11:00 am, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 pm to celebrate Richard’s remarkable life and legacy. A private entombment will happen at a later date at the Nashville National Cemetery.

Through his kindness, love, and infectious spirit, Richard will be dearly missed by all those who were fortunate enough to know him. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
