Richard Raymond Callen III “Dick”, age 81 of Estill Springs, passed away peacefully at his residence, surrounded with the love of his ‘girls’ on Saturday, December 31, 2022. Dick was born on July 10, 1941, in Birmingham, Alabama to the late Richard and Katheryn (Kilgore) Callen Jr. He is veteran of the United States Army and retired from AEDC after more than twenty-nine years of service. Dick was an avid fisherman, a diehard Auburn Tigers fan, and he really enjoyed cooking and trying new recipes. Dick had an amazing group of lifelong friends that meant the world to him. He also had an amazing group of fishing buddies at the Tims Ford Bass Club. Dick, in addition to his parents, is preceded in death by his siblings, James Lee Callen and Virginia C. Strickland. He is survived by his children, Tobi Toler and Casey Callen; grandchildren, Bladz Toler, Chloe Toler and Sloan Callen; and brother, William Porter Callen. Visitation for Dick will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2023, from 12pm – 2pm at Moore-Cortner Funeral Home with a celebration of life following at 2:00pm from the chapel.
