Richard Lee Stegall, beloved father, grandfather, husband, brother, and uncle passed away at his home on September 3, 2024, at the age of 70. Richard was a cherished member of his community and a devoted family man. He will be remembered for his deep love for his family, his passion for playing football in high school, and his dedication to his work as a longtime employee at Brookwood Furniture. Richard was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. His enthusiasm for antique cars was a notable part of his life, reflecting his appreciation for history and craftsmanship. Richard will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and the indelible mark he left on those who knew and loved him.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Ann Stegall. daughter, Lee Ann Stegall Cooper (Shane), son, Richard Morrison Stegall, grandson, Travis Helms (Valerie), granddaughter, Brittney Russell, grandson, Justin Stegall, granddaughter, Alyssa Stegall, sister, Linda Richardson (Fred), sister, Betty Jaggers (Bruce), sister, Mary Jane Snipes (AL), and five great-grandchildren.
Richard was preceded in death by his mother, Annie Mae Stegall, his father, Andrew Morrison Stegall, and his son, Adam Lynn Stegall.
Services will be Friday, September 6, 2024, at 2PM at Tutor Memorial Funeral Home in Pontotoc with Bro. Billie Henderson officiating. Visitation will begin at 12PM and continue to service time. Burial will follow in Old Chesterville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Travis Helms, Fred Richardson, Scott Jaggers, Allen Wheeler, Cecil Stegall, Josh Ferguson, and Sherman Hillhouse.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Bruce Jaggers, Shane Cooper, and AL Snipes
