With deep sadness, we announce the passing of Richard Estep, who departed from this world on April 7th, 2024, in the comfort of his home. Richard was born on July 11th, 1956, to parents Blair and Fredda Estep, in the town of Bellwood, Pennsylvania.
Richard’s journey through life was one marked by resilience, strength, and love for his family. Despite facing the sorrow of parting with his father, mother, brother Alfred, sisters Bonnie and Felecia, their spirits remain intertwined with his, forever guiding him.
In his earthly departure, Richard leaves behind a legacy of love, commitment, and cherished memories. He is survived by his beloved wife Barbara Estep, with whom he shared countless joys and triumphs. Richard’s daughters, Brandi Pratt (James) and Tonya Vickers (Brandon), were sources of endless pride, and constant reminders of life’s greatest blessings.
His heart swelled with pride at the mention of his grandchildren: Kirsten Robinson (Zach), Johnathon McDaniel (Bryant), Dravon Barron (Anna), Blaine Barron (Heather) and Mallory Mann (DC). Richard’s face would light up at the mere thought of his great-grandchildren, Ivan, Ethan, Presleigh, Linux, Dixie, Ava, Axel and Hazel, who brought immense joy and laughter into his life.
Richard’s love for his family knew no bounds. Whether it was teaching his grandchildren to fish or simply sharing stories on the front porch, he cherished every moment spent with them. His passion for the outdoors was infectious, as he reveled in exploring nature’s wonders and finding solace in its beauty.
A master craftsman and builder at heart, Richard’s hands brought to life creations that will stand as testaments to his skill and creativity for generations to come. His legacy lives on in the lives he touched and the memories he created.
In addition to his immediate family, Richard is survived by his brothers Fred and Jeff Estep. He leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and friends, all of whom were touched by his kindness, humor and unwavering spirit.
Though Richard may have departed from this world, his spirit remains ever-present in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. As we bid farewell to a loving husband, devoted “Ole Dude”, cherished Pappy, beloved “Pops”, let us take comfort in knowing that Richard’s love and legacy will continue to illuminate our lives, guiding us through the darkest of days and reminding us of life’s greatest blessings.
