Mr. Richard Emorse Booker Richard Emorse Booker was born April 14, 1960 in Madison County, Alabama to the late Thomas and Ethel Moore Booker.  He was the youngest of 16 children born to this blessed union.  He entered into eternal rest on October 14, 2024.

Richard was educated in the Madison County School System and graduated from Sparkman High School. After high school, he pursued several interests but developed a professional career as a painter and interior decorator. At an early age, he professed his faith in Christ and lived his life with the “Guiding” belief. He was dedicated to helping people and making their lives brighter. Richard was also an avid Alabama football fan and enjoyed fishing. His lively spirit, laughter, and sense of humor will be fondly remembered by all who knew him.

Richard was predeceased by his parents; five brothers: John Thomas, Willie, James E., Eddie and Henry Booker; three sisters: Inez Booker Cartwright, Rosie Booker Matthews and Maelee Booker, as well as other family members.

His memories will be cherished by two sons: Eligah and Jeremiah Booker; daughter, AbbieGayle Jones; four brothers: Waller L. Booker, Huntsville, AL, J.D. Booker, Toney, AL, Robert L. Booker, Madison, AL, and Oscar Booker, Toney, AL; three sisters: Mary Booker Ragland, Huntsville, AL, Lorene Booker, Atlanta, George and Melba Booker Burrell, Harvest, Alabama; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at the Indian Creek Cemetery (Plummer Road and Indian Creek Huntsville, AL 35816).

Public viewing will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 22, 2024 and 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at the Royal Funeral Home.
