Richard “Dick” Sowerwine passed away peacefully on September 24,2024. He was 85. Dick was born in Indianapolis, IN, son of Eugenia and Harold Sowerwine. He was an avid fan of Texas A&M University but actually received his BA degree from Evansville University in 1962. It was that same year that he married the love of his life, Barbara. Dick grew up working in his Dad’s automotive warehouse. This led him to his career in Sales and Marketing in the automotive aftermarket industry and traveling across the United States in that capacity. He enjoyed playing golf and played whenever possible. He loved freshwater fishing, especially with his children and grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his mom and dad and his brother, Bob.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Barbara; his son, Barry and daughter-in law, Jami; his daughter, Debbie and son-in-law Skip; and five wonderful grandchildren, Skyler Sowerwine, Madison, Sowerwine, Max Sowerwine, Zach Walden and Will Walden.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. in the Magnolia Room at Magnolia Trace on Friday, October 11, 2024.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Acts Legacy Foundation.
