Richard Clay Veal, 88, of Fort Payne, passed away Thursday, November 7, 2024. He was born December 28, 1935 to the late William Thurman Veal and Bell Isabelle Hairel Veal. He was retired from Vulcraft.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, November 9th at Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Ronnie Bevel officiating. Burial will follow in Glenwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12 until the 3 p.m. hour of service.
He is survived by his sons Richard B. Veal (Margie), Jerry Lane Veal, and Sherry Jane O’Neal (Terry); grandchildren Shana Talley (Derek), Zachary Veal (Dana), Brandy Daughtery, Candace O’Neal, Kayla Hamilton (Matt), and Christopher O’Neal (Savannah); and great-grandchildren Henry Tate, Tenley, Logan, Lilah, Weston, Braxton, Brentley, Ayla, Duncan, Alora, Kenzie, and Kindal.
He was preceded in death by his wife Brenda Veal.
