Richard Andrew “Ricky” Garrett, 59 of Graysville, passed away Friday December 22, 2023 at his residence.
Ricky was a Millwright. He worked out of Millwright Local 1192. The greatest love of his life was his family, especially his granddaughter. Some of the things he enjoyed the most were; motorcycles, military history, nature, hanging out with his friends and road trips to Mentone, AL
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette Burgett; grandparents, Reuben and Lucille Witt and Jesse Andrew and Kathleen McDonald.
Survivors include his spouse, Suzanne “Sparkie” Brazell; son, Jeffrey Garrett; granddaughter, Dallice Garrett; father, Jim “Sonny” Garrett and wife Pat; sister, Debra DeAnn Lomoro and husband Lynn; nephew and niece, Garrett and Emily Lomoro; several aunts, uncles and cousins; special friends, Chuck “Jughead” Palmer and John Bergman; his German Shepherd, Max; his Cat, Dori; many extended family members and friends.
Funeral services will be Friday Dec. 29, 2023 at 12:00 pm in the New Horizon Memorial Chapel. Chaplain Thomas Chadwick will officiate. Burial will follow at McDade Cemetery in Carbon Hill. The family will receive friends Thursday evening 5:30-8 pm at the funeral home.
