Richard Alexander Jennings died Sunday, March 31, 2024, at his residence in Tupelo. He was 76 years old. Richard was born on December 12, 1947, to Alex Jennings and Myrtle Cayson Jennings in Athens, GA. He was a graduate of Baldwin High School in Georgia and served in the U.S. Navy during the conflict in Vietnam. He worked as a telephone/fiber installer. He married Peggy Sue Jennings in Nashville, TN in 2001. His hobbies included golfing, fishing, gaming, dancing, and just enjoying life.

There will be no formal services. Holland Funeral Directors – Tupelo Chapel is honored to serve the family.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy Jennings of Tupelo; his son Andy Jennings (Heather) of Collierville, TN, and step children Jeff Chandler (Chrissy) of Bartlett, TN, Lawana Edens of Dallas, TX, and Jason Turner of Tupelo; seven grandchildren, Nicholas Jennings, Ty Chandler, Millie Chandler, Gracie Chandler, Chloe Crane (Ty), Lilly Ann Jennings, and Bailey Chandler; and two great-grandchildren, Jett Crane and Jeff Crane; brother Harry Jennings of Tallahassee, FL, and sister Kay Jennings Roberts (Edward) of Sevierville, TN; and several nieces, nephews, and their families.
