It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Rhonda L. Burns, who passed away on April 13, 2024, in Selmer, Tennessee. Rhonda was born on February 3, 1952, in Springfield, MO, to the late Jim Rice and Mary Frances Melton.

Rhonda dedicated many years of her life working as waitress at Dixie Cafe in Selmer. She had a passion for collecting porcelain dolls and spent joyful hours sewing delicate doll clothes. Her green thumb was well-known, as she took great pride in her flowers and gardening. Rhonda also had a love for crocheting and could often be found listening to Elvis.

Left to cherish her memory are her sister, Robin Johnson; her children, Regina Colwell, Michelle Routh and partner James West, Oscar Main and wife Katie, Tony Colwell; six grandchildren: Corey Nixon and wife Sara, Synica Lambert-Berryman and husband Tyler, Jessica Nixon, Hannah Colwell, Melea Colwell, Darian Main-Bright and husband Dillon; seven great-grandchildren: Jesse Smith, Haelynn Moore, Jon-Tyler Berryman, Eli Berryman, Zoey Nixon, Eli Nixon, Millie Nixon; as well as a multitude of extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson Michael Lambert; four brothers: Darrell Rice, Allen Stewart, Kevin Stewart, Corey Crider; and a sister, Angela Rice.

Rhonda’s presence will be deeply missed by all who knew her. May she rest in peace knowing she was loved and will always be remembered fondly by those whose lives she touched.

Per Miss Burns wishes she will be buried in her home state of Missouri.
