Rhonda Jackson Morris, age 59 of Winchester, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at St. Thomas Rutherford Medical Center in Murfreesboro. A native of Franklin County, she was born in Winchester on February 20, 1964. A devoted homemaker, Rhonda always made sure everyone was taken care of. She enjoyed cooking wonderful meals for her family and grilling out with her husband. An avid outdoorsman, she most enjoyed being outside doing yardwork, sitting under her favorite shade tree in the cove, gardening, tending to her flowers, and feeding the birds. She loved to travel, especially to the beach where she could soak up the sunshine. But most of all, she cherished the time spent with her beloved family, especially dancing and listening to music with her granddaughter. Rhonda was of the Episcopal faith. She was preceded in death by her father, Andrew Jackson. Rhonda is survived by her loving husband of fourteen years, Melvin Morris of Winchester; children, Lauren (Cameron) Bailey of Winchester, Devon Gunn of Dawsonville, Georgia, and Andrew Gunn of Winchester; stepson, Kristopher (Laura) Morris of Sewanee; granddaughter, Caroline Marie Bailey; step-grandchildren, Wylie Morris, Rowdy Morris, Tiara Stovall, and Bryson Rollins; mother, Carolyn Sue Jackson of Winchester; siblings, Scott (Lisa) Jackson of Winchester, Penny (Kurt) Johnson of Belvidere, and Deborah Jackson Hoosier of Winchester; several nieces and nephews; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Private services are planned. The family would like to thank their community friends and neighbors for the love and support shown to them during this time.
