Rhonda Genon Bell Hayes – Obituary

Rhonda Genon Bell Hayes, 68 of Addison, entered into rest on Thursday, July 5, 2018 at Brookwood Baptist Medical Center, Birmingham.

Rhonda was born on August 13, 1949 in Cullman, Alabama.  She attended Temple Baptist Church and was a longtime member of Sardis Baptist Church No. 2.  Rhonda graduated from Addison High School in 1967.  She was very crafty.  Rhonda enjoyed sewing and canning every summer.  She was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother.  Rhonda loved her grandkids, but most of all, she loved Jesus.

Visitation will be held Saturday, July 7, 2018 at Nichols Funeral Home, Addison from 6-8pm with services on Sunday, July 8, 2018 at 2pm. Pastor John T. White will officiate. Burial will follow in Enmanfield Cemetery.

Rhonda is survived by her husband of 49 years, Gerald Hayes; mother, Marjorie “Marge” Bell; son, Dusty Hayes and wife Shelonda; daughter, Monica Johnson and husband Bob; brothers, Creig Bell, Shannon Bell and wife Shantel; sister, Sheila White and husband John T.; and a host of nieces and nephews. She was “Nan” to 6 grandchildren, Jordan (Alan) Blackerby, Riley Black, Tucker Hayes, Willow Hayes, Brian (Jazz)  Johnson, Heather (Cody) Copeland; and 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Cordell Bell.
