Mr. Rex Landon Steger Rex Landon Steger was born to Joshlyn C. Steger and Willie L. Steger on October 17, 1973 in Madison, Alabama.  He departed this life on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 surrounded by loved one at Huntsville Hospice Family Care.

He received his education at West Huntsville Elementary School, Stone Middle School and Huntsville High School. He found joy in cooking and served as a Cook at Piccadilly Cafteria for more than 20 years.  He loved spending time with family and friends.

Rex was preceded in death by his father, Willie Steger; grandparents, Leslie, Sarah Steger and Sept Childress; Frances Childress, Robert Steger, Mary Pitts, Mary Hampton; aunt, Porsha Childress; and uncle, James Steger.

He leaves to cherish his memory: a loving mother, Joshlyn Steger and stepfather, James Stone; fiancé, Renae Beasley; two daughters: Cambria Steger and Deaizha Swain; three sons: Jaylen Steger, Deandre Steger, Darrious Beasley; two sisters, Kelly Steger (Stanley Jones), and Tameka Steger (Mike Mims); one brother, Leslie (Boom) Steger; aunts: Barbara Jones (Rev. Johnny Jones), Spring Moore (James Moore), Rose Handley, Vi Wilson, Martha Dillard, Nellie Humphrey, uncles: Charley Cross (Sherry Cross), Wallace Cross, Ollie (Jennifer) Steger,  Thomas Steger, Allen Steger, Jimmy Steger;  and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

The funeral service for Mr. Rex Landon Steger will be 12:00 noon, Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the Liberty Primitive Baptist Church (268 Burruss Road, Berkley, AL 35748) with Elder Mario Ford officiating. Interment will be in the Valhalla Memory Gardens. Mr. Steger will lie in repose one hour prior to funeral time.

Public viewing will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m., Friday, June 14, 2024 and 8:30 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 15, 2024 at the Royal Funeral Home.
