Rex Forrest Gallaway  It is with extreme sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Rex Forrest Gallaway. Rex went home to the Lord on Tuesday, June 14, 2022, surrounded by his wife, Sandra, and his step-daughter, Shanell.

Rex was born on August 6,1951 in Ft Worth, Texas. After graduating high school, he then joined the Army where he was stationed in Germany. Rex was a self-made engineer with a passion for discovering and inventing new technologies. He spent his life with a love for learning and adventure until a tragic paragliding accident in Alpine, California in 1992 where he was then paralyzed from the neck down.  Although paralyzed, Rex never stopped pursuing his passion for the Lord, life and learning.  He was happiest when he was researching and finding ways to invent new things. He pursued his dreams every day, even to the very end when he lost his battle with pneumonia.

Rex was predeceased by his parents, Norris Weaver and Mary Virginia (Moore) Gallaway and his brother, Randy Gallaway. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Gallaway; his daughter, Misty; his step-daughters Shanell Reagan, Shannon Nusser and husband Matthew Nusser and son Samuel Nusser, and his sister, Nancy Cooper and husband Don Cooper.

His family will have him cremated and hold a private Celebration of Life memorial for the immediate family only in his honor on his first birthday in Heaven, August 6, 2022. Rex will always be remembered and missed by all who loved him.
