Reuben Eldred Dunlap, 91, passed away on March 11, 2022 at home, surrounded by his family.
Reuben is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Beverly Dunlap; two sons, Gregory Dunlap (Kelly) and Jeffrey Dunlap (Karen); four grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Reuben was an Air Force Veteran and served during the Korean War. He went to work for the U.S. Army Missile Command at Redstone Arsenal, retiring in 1986 as a Senior Engineer. He received numerous awards for outstanding accomplishments during his years of work. He did consulting work for several contractors after he retired from USAMC. He finally retired from Westar on September 28, 2007 at the age of 76.
Reuben loved his family more than anything, and his favorite past time was to be with his wife, children and grandchildren. He also loved to fish, reeling in crappie and brim, usually with numerous poles in the water at once.
He was a member of the Mayfair Church of Christ, loved God with all of his heart.
Due to the pandemic, the family will be having a private funeral service. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your favorite charity in Reuben’s memory.
