With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Renee Benson Story of Cordele, Georgia, born in Americus, Georgia, who passed away on December 28, 2021 at the age of 50. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Renee Benson Story to pay them a last tribute.
She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Bobby Clayton Benson and Sara Ann Fitzgerald Benson of Cordele; her husband Chris Story of Decatur, Ala.; her aunts, Cheri Butterworth of Cordele, Dana Holliday of Pitts, Emily Wise of Atlanta, Shirley Miller (Robert) of Pitts, Judy Tripp (Joe) of Pitts and Sharon Martin (Noel) of Camilla; her parents-in-law, Bill and Marvlyn Story of Fitzgerald; and her brothers-in-law, Whit Story (Wendy) of Fitzgerald and Russ Story (Julie) of Douglas. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 3rd 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hughes & Wright Funeral Home (1010 E 8th Ave, Cordele, GA 31015). A funeral service was held on Monday, January 3rd 2022 at 3:00 PM at the same location. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and Omicron variant, masks are highly recommended and social distancing maintained.
