FLORENCE — The Renaissance Center for Emotional Health at ECM Hospital is holding a community mental health fair on November 9 at Cross Point Church of Christ in Florence.
Registration begins at 7:30 a.m., and information booths open at 8 a.m. A
complimentary breakfast is available.
Speakers begin at 8:45 a.m. with Alicia Kelly, of Kelly Counseling, discussing combating the stigma associated with
mental health treatment.
At 10:10 a.m., Reggie Watkins, of Bradford Health Services, will speak on co-occuring
disorders, and Freda Coleman-Reed, a professor of social work at UNA, will deliver a talk titled “Grief vs. Depression – What can I do to feel better?”
Depression screenings will also be available.
Cross Point Church is at 1350 Cox Creek Parkway.
Continuing education credits will be awarded for nurses, counselors and social workers in attendance.
