FLORENCE-The City of Florence is delighted to present the 26th Annual Urban Forestry & Horticulture Conference. A great program is planned to feature outstanding speakers who are most knowledgeable in their fields of horticulture, urban forestry, and pesticide application. Also featured are local vendors who will have items available for purchase.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, March 17 and 18 8:00AM until 3:00PM at Cross Point Church located at 1360 Cox Creek Parkway.
KEYNOTE:
Mike Doyle: Source Water Protection & Canoe/Kayak Public Access
A Summa Cum Laude graduate from Athens State University with a major in Public Safety Administration. Mike has worked with the City of Florence for 44 years and currently manages the Gas & Water/Wastewater Department. He is the former president of Alabama Water Pollution Control Association (AWPCA) and received their 1997 Charles W. White Award for Outstanding Service in the Water Supply Field. Mike also holds a Grade 4 State of Alabama Operator Competency certification in the Water Supply Field.
