Mr. Reginald Lamar Sykes Muhammad
July 24, 1968 – November 11, 2023
Reginald was born in Huntsville, Alabama to the late Bill Sykes and Barbara Little Sykes on July 24, 1968. He was called home on November 11, 2003, in Buffalo, New York.
Reggie graduated from Bennett High School in Buffalo, New York. Reggie grew into a hard-working and loving son, father, brother, And grandfather. He was never without a smile or that given spirit. Every place he stepped; he left a seed of love. That big smile will forever be imprinted in the hearts of all he encountered. Brother Muhammad joined the Muslim order of faith. He served and was a member for many years and remained until his passing. Through his faith, he honored his family with all he had.
Reggie was preceded in death by his father, Bill Sykes; Grandparents, George and Mattie Little & Louise Carthen Pebbles; uncles: George Jr., James Earl, William, Billy, John, David Lee, Joe Lee, Willie, and I.W.; and aunt, Ella Sanders.
Reggie leaves to cherish his memory, his mother, Barbara Sykes; children: Jasmine (Dameion) Hammonds, Minister Reginald (Amber) Sykes, Jr., Dominique Sykes, and Saied Muhammad; grand-children: Janiyah Bone, Julis Bone, Jr., Aja Hammonds, Ace Hammonds, Everly Sykes, Ember Sykes, Elanor Sykes, Micah Billups; siblings: Mike (Renee) Sykes, Kendrick (Nanette) Sykes, & Tynelle Stewart; aunt, Sallie Peebles; uncles, John Smith and Richard Pebbles; along with a host of cousins, friends, and coworkers.
Funeral service will be 12:00 noon, Sunday, November 19, 2023, at the Royal Chapel of Memories (4315 Oakwood Avenue NW Huntsville, AL 35810) with Minister Isaac Muhammad officiating. Interment will be in the Faith Memorial Park.
There will be no public viewing.
