Reginal Van Pointer

Reginal Van Pointer, age 69, a resident of Cane Ridge, Tennessee, passed away Monday morning, October 11, 2021, at Bethany Center for Rehabilitation and Healing.

 

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced later. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

 

Reggie was born on October 15, 1951, in Columbia and was the son of Cleo Hudson Pointer and the late John T. Pointer. He earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from MTSU where he was one of the proud original cofounding members of the Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity in which he was well respected. He worked over twenty years in administration for the State of Tennessee and previously owned his own bail bonding company. His biggest hobby was fishing. Above all, he was a loving father and proud grandfather who will be missed by those who knew and loved him.

 

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Max (Hannah) Pointer of Tullahoma, brother, John (Victoria) Pointer of Cane Ridge, grandchildren, Skye Pointer, Rayne Pointer, niece, Danielle Pointer Northern, nephew, Sean Thomas Pointer, great uncle, Claude Browne.

 

Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his son, James Reginal Pointer.
