Regina M. James Roden, age 55, of Sheffield passed away March 26, 2016 in her home from a battle with cancer. She was born November 08, 1960. She was a loving mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a member of Oakdale Missionary Baptist Church Florence. Visitation will be at Colbert Memorial funeral home Tuesday, March 29, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. The funeral service will be Wednesday, March 30, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel with Bobby James and Ronnie Poag officiating. Entombment will follow in the Love Mausoleum at Colbert Memorial Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her father Herschel James; grandparents, Herbert and Cloia Lee, Abb and Anthem James; grandson, James Mansell and nephew Derrick Folsom.
Mrs. Roden is survived by her mother Loretta James of Tuscumbia; daughters, Heather Hester (Bryan) Haleyville, Danielle Brown (Greg) Panama City Beach Florida; sons, Tyler Roden (Cheyanne) Florence, Austin Roden and Steven Roden, Sheffield; grandchildren, Peyton Mansell, Katelyn Brown and Jacob Purdy; step grandson, Zachary Clingan; sisters, Betty Folsom (Ricky) , Barbara Bogus (Jimmy) and brother, Bobby James (Joann); four nieces and four nephews, many aunts, uncles, cousins, and church family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Tyler Roden, Austin Roden, Steven Roden, Pete Hunt, Letroy Jeffreys, Ronnie Richardson, and Tyler Poag.
