Reece Mills Harrison, 90, of Florence, passed away Sunday, July 14, 2024, at Helen Keller Hospital. He was retired as a Die Operator from Ford Motor Company and a carrier for the U. S. Postal Service. Reece was a member of the Auto Workers Union and U. S. Postal Workers. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and was a member of Petersville Church of Christ.
Visitation will be Tuesday, July 16, 2024, from 12-2 p.m. at Greenview Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Park. Officiating will be Greg Elrod and Terry Oakley.
Reece was preceded in death by his parents, Earl Cherry and Mildred Gaithier Harrison; his wife, Katherine; brother, Earl, Jr. (Booney); step-grandson, Ben Lowhorne, Huntsville, AL.
He is survived by sons, Gregory Harrison, Florence, and Kenneth Harrison (Sue), Huntsville, AL; brothers, Billy Harrison, Florence, and Jack Harrison (Janet), Florence; sister, Mary Ethyl McDonald, Florence; grandchildren, Matthew Harrison, St. Augustine, FL; Ashleigh Dalgleish, (Andy), Milton, FL, Mackenzie Fontaine (Brad), Herndon, VA, Carley Harrison, Charlotte, N. C., Lora Waye (Skyler), Baltimore, MD; step-grandson, Scott Lowhorne, Huntsville, AL; great grandchildren, Jack Harrison, Charlotte Dalgleish, Finn Dalgleish, Ben Fontaine, and Bruce Waye.
Pallbearers will be Andy Dalgleish, Harold Hannah, Mark Norris, Mark Stephenson, Wade Strait, and Scott Lowhorne.
Honorary pallbearers are Tommy Jones, James Farris, Kyle Walker, David Rikard, and Jeremy Harris.
