Redding (Skip) Holbert of Brent, Al., passed away on 28 Feb. 2023. Visitation will be on Sunday, 5 March 2023 from
11am to 12noon at Roselawn Funeral Home. The Service will begin at 12noon at Roselawn with Redding Holbert Jr. officiating.
He will be laid to rest at Roselawn Cemetery.
Redding Holbert is survived by his sons Redding Holbert Jr., Nathan Holbert, and Daniel Holbert. His sister and her husband, Fannie and Eddie Kirby. His sister and her husband, Pearl and Freddy Carpenter. His brother Arthur Holbert. His
grandchildren, Eli, Danell, and Mikki.
He was proceded ln death by his father Ernest Holbert and his Mother Fannie Estelle Holbert. His brothers William Holbert, Sidney Holbert, Ernest Holbert Jr. His sisters Ellen Jones, Ruth Barnett, Louis Heaps, and Elois Long. His last wife Elois Holbert and his first wife Doris L. Holbert. His grandchild Nikki.
Redding Holbert was born in Decatur Al. in 1933 and joined the Air Force in 1952. He served in Vietnam During the war as a supply Sergeant. He was honorably discharged at his retirement in 1972 with 20 years service. He retired as an E5 at McDill Air Force base in Tampa Florida. He served as a Deacon in the Fellowship Baptist Church while living in Decatur.
Pallbearers will be Redding Holbert Jr., Daniel Holbert, Eli Holbert, and staff.
