Rebecca Thornton Lowery

Rebecca Thornton Lowery, born on December 8th 1941 in Limestone County, passed away Monday, July 29th, at her home.

She is survived by her son, James O. Lowery, Jr, three grandchildren: Kayla (Sean) Busick, Anna Nichols, and James (Emily) Lowery. She is also survived by her two “little sweethearts” great-grandsons James Gatsby and Rustin Price, and honorary sister, Barbara Hamilton.

She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Victor Lowery, and six brothers and sisters.

She lived a full and exciting life, although she never got over the loss of losing Victor. She never met a stranger. She kept her friends and family laughing with her great stories. She was a wonderful mother and Nana. We will miss her forever.

Per her wishes, there will be no service, but a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
