Obituary of Rebecca Morelock Funeral Services Celebrating the Life of Rebecca Morelock will be 1pm on Friday, December 20, 2024 at Memorial Funeral Home with Bro.Tommy Callahan officiating. Visitation will be from 11am until service time at the funeral home.

Rebecca passed away on November 17, 2024, at the MS Care Center, a place held dear in her heart. Born on January 26, 1959, to the late Charles and Faye Rushing, she dedicated a significant part of her life to caring for others as a CNA. Her heartfelt commitment to nursing began at the MS Care Center, providing unwavering support to the residents and becoming a cherished member of it’s community. Her gentle spirit and observant nature, left a lasting impact on many lives.

Family was the cornerstone of Rebecca’s existence; she found joy in moments spent with her loved ones, whether hosting special events or simply enjoying a quiet evening surrounded by her nearest and dearest. She loved her dog, Fancy, whose playfulness brought her endless joy. In her downtime, Rebecca filled her days with crossword puzzles and time with friends. She was an avid traveler, exploring every corner of the mainland US; making memories and gathering stories to be shared enthusiastically.

In addition to her parents, Rebecca was preceded in death by her husband, O’neal Morelock; daughter, Regina Jones Hudson; and sisters, Linda Hood, Donna Hollins, and Debra Terry.

Rebecca is survived by her daughters, Susan Wright (Josh) and Christy Strickland (Michael); brother, Charles Rushing; grandchildren, Trinity Wright and Aiden Strickland; niece, Jennifer Sauceda (Juan), nephews, Jeremy Terry (Brittney) and James Hood; a host of great nieces and nephews, and other family and friends.
