Rebecca Ann Miller Cox passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Diversicare in Ripley after an extended illness. She was born August 6, 1941 to David Edward and Mary Wilma “Bill” Miller in Marion County, Mississippi. Becky married Troy Lamar Cox on July 23, 1960 and they enjoyed many happy yeas together. She worked as a frame builder for MS Eaton for several years. Becky loved her family and treasured the time she was able to spend with each one of them.

She leaves behind her daughter Donna Lee (Carl) of Pontotoc; two sons, Troy Randle Cox of Pontotoc and Johnny Lamar Cox of Jackson; her grandchildren, Brandon Cox (Jessica), Amanda Murphy (Amanda), Paul Jones (Dana), Tim Henry, Troy Lee Cox, and Scotty Cox, all of Pontotoc, Richey Goddard of Los Angeles, California, Derek Cox Jr. of Lapeer Michigan; Sisters, Linda Miller of New Orleans, Louisiana, Kay Prine of Columbia; friends, Cindy Pope, Sue Mahan, and Little Ruby; and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Troy Lamar Cox; three sons, Randy Wayne Smith, Charles Edward “Choggy” Cox, and Derek Lee Cox; two brothers, George and Jimmy Miller; and lastly her best friend, Charolett Sartin.

Becky’s final resting place will be in heaven, but her body will be laid to rest beside her husband in Pontotoc City Cemetery. Pegues Funeral Directors has been entrusted with the arrangements.
