Reba S. Wheeler – Obituary

wheeler_reba_spann_4In what we are sure was an incandescent release of grace and style our beloved wife and mother, Reba S. Wheeler, age 73 of Guin, AL left this earth on Wednesday, July 16, 2014 at her residence. In talking with her she told us, and we quote, “I’m not afraid. It will be very bright and there will be golden retrievers everywhere swishing their tails.”

Visitation, 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Friday, July 18, 2014, at Guin First Baptist Church until time of service. Memorial Services held Friday, July 18, 2014 at 12:00 noon from the Guin First Baptist Church with Bro. Kenny Hatcher officiating.

Born November 6, 1940 in Winfield, AL she is the daughter of the late Roston and Myrt Webster Spann. She had lived in Guin most of her life and was a member of the Guin First Baptist Church and the En Avant Study Club.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Wheeler of Guin, AL, 2 daughters, Melissa “Missy” Miller of Hamilton, AL and Paige Elliott of Tuscaloosa, AL, a son, Keith Miller of Birmingham, AL, 5 grandchildren, Logan Elliott, Gracie Miller, Sara Miller, Olivia Miller and Avery Rose Elliott, 4 sisters, Bonnie Campbell of Livingston, AL, Alice Ann Robertson, Danny Spann and Judy May all of Winfield and a brother, Benny Spann of Winfield, AL and cousins, Vickie Cunningham, Pamela Foster, Brenda Fernety, Donna Stewart, Kelle Harrison, Sonya Branche, Sharon Gartrell, Jeff Robertson, Donald Campbell, Brian Campbell, Krista Mahler Robatzek and Wesley Hazel.

She was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Polly Smith and Sarah Bull and a brother, Glen Spann.
