Reba Marie Crews, age 81, resident of Summertown, passed away on Thursday, September 30, 2021, at her residence.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 3rd at 4:00pm at Ethridge Church of Christ with Jeff Johnston officiating. The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 1:00pm until 4:00pm prior to the service. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
Reba, born November 4, 1939, was the daughter of Merrill and Thelma Bennett Heatherly. Her many interests included, playing cards and other games, woodworking, attending car races, and fishing. Her love for her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren was shown by her attendance and participation in numerous sports and crafting activities. She hosted countless meals and sleep-overs for her nieces, nephews, and the friends of her children and grandchildren. Her love for others extended to members of her church family with her involvement in various church functions and activities.
She is survived by her children: Monte (Barbara) Crews of Summertown, Sonja Hill of Summertown, and Connie (Roger) Cooper of Lawrenceburg; brother: Lester Heatherly of Lawrenceburg; grandchildren: Tyler (Tiffany) Crews of Columbia, Wendy (Keith) Powell of Summertown, Justin Hill of Summertown, and Jason Hill of Murfreesboro; great grandchildren: Eli Powell, Collins Powell, Maggie Crews, and Henry Crews; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband: Raymon “Louie” Crews; son: Preston “Pete” Crews; and brothers: Ernest, Gerald, Charles, and Kenneth Heatherly.
