Reba Alline Jaggers SutterReba Jaggers Sutter, 80, passed away December 20, 2023, at Sanctuary Hospice House from an extended illness surrounded by her family. She was a loving mother, wife, and the best “Granny” anyone could ever ask for.  Reba attended Zion elementary school and graduated from Pontotoc High School in 1961. She was an avid basketball player, who led her team to a county championship in 1960. She worked for Bellsouth from November 6, 1965, until her retirement on January 13, 2000, as a service representative. She was a member of Furrs Baptist Church and the Joy Sunday School class. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren, Sarah and Jonathan. She was their biggest fan on and off the soccer and baseball fields, never missing a game.
Survivors include her daughter, Laura Sutter Whitt (Scott); her grandchildren, Sarah and Jonathan Whitt; her sister-in-law, Nell Jaggers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Reba was preceded in death by her husband, John Sutter; her parents, Ernest and Salli Mask Jaggers; her brothers, Herman and Ernest “Buck” Jaggers; her sisters, Modene Jaggers Ball, Lucian Jaggers Davis, and Katie Jaggers Stegall.
Services will be Saturday, December 23, 2023, at 1PM at Furrs Baptist Church with Bro. Greg Herndon officiating. Visitation will begin at 11AM and continue to service time. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery. Tutor Memorial Funeral Home of Pontotoc is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Johnny Keith, Bill Malone, Billy Wayne Dillard, Tony Harris, Steve Knight, and Tim Roberts.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sanctuary Hospice House, Tupelo, MS.
