Reba Christine Hale, age 86, passed away peacefully Friday June 11, 2021, at her grandson’s home from an extended illness. A native of Van Buren County, Reba was born on April 23, 1935, to the late Arthur and Lodemia McCoy Cummings. She was a retired supervisor with Levi’s in Campaign, a homemaker, and a member of Ole Bethel Baptist Church. Reba was a 1952 Graduate of Van Buren County High School and enjoyed cooking and baking,
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Billy Bob Hale whom she married on May 30, 1959, daughters; Annette Hale, Brenda Diane Howell and Belinda Nadine Howell, sisters; Treva Inez Cummings and Stella Cummings Brown, brother; Gerstil Leon Cummings, nephews; Bill Woodlee and Lawton Brown Jr., brothers-in-laws; Preston Huckeby and Lawton Brown.
Reba is survived by her loving family; grandchildren; Bobby (Kristy) Hodges, Christy McKeehan Guillot and Joshua Maranta, great-grandchildren; Gregory (Autumn) Hodges, Rae-Anna (Jacob Pack) Hodges, Austin (Caylyn Damon) Hodges, Christine T. McKeehan, Caleb H. Sluder, Kaylee C. Curtis and Deagan Maranta, great-great-grandchild; Willow Grace Pack(to be born soon), nieces; Tammie Hale Gribble, Teresa Brown Snook, Angela Cummings Wood, nephews; Danny Cumming, David Wood, Delaney Snook, Harrison (Colisha) Woodlee, sons-in-law; Glenn Hodges, Bruce McKeehan, grandson in-law; Nathaniel Sluder, brother-in-law; Mason (Pat) Hale, sister-in-laws; June Hale Huckeby and Charollete Cummings. A large extended family also survives.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday June 15, 2021, at 2:00pm in the Layne Chapel with Bro. Jeff Randolph officiating. Burial will follow in the Long Cemetery. Visitation times are, Monday June 14th 5:00pm to 8:00pm and Tuesday June 15th 10:00am till time of service at 2:00pm.
