Tommy Marshall Profile Photo Raymond Thomas Marshall was born June 9, 1958 in Odessa, TX, the son of the late Jerry Talmadge Hatch and Mary Elizabeth Bennie Hatch.

Growing up in Anchorage, Alaska, Tommy embraced the beauty of the great outdoors. He found joy in riding snowmobiles and motorcycles, and his love for fishing—particularly for Trout and King Salmon—was ever-present. He enjoyed watching old western movies. He was known as the family’s dedicated firewood chopper during camping trips, always ensuring that warmth and laughter surrounded those he loved. Tommy had a passion for adventure that included digging for claims and trapping crabs at the docks. A free spirit with a zest for life, Tommy was known as a fun loving B.S.er.

After graduating from Burkburnett High School in TX, he embarked on a career as a truck driver before spending many years working in the oil fields and offshore rigs of Texas and Venezuela. Eventually, Tommy moved to Tennessee where he enjoyed his well-earned retirement.

He is survived by his sister, Teresa Virgin and husband Jim of Iowa Park, TX; niece, Samantha Anderson and her daughter, Addison Anderson; nephew, Andrew Virgin, his wife Karen, and their son, Hayden Hatch; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Marshall was preceded in death by his biological father, William Travis Marshall.
