Raymond Scarlett, age 72, of Ethridge, TN passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at his residence. He was a native of Muscatine, IA, and a truck driver. He enjoyed watching tv and his favorite shows were NCIS and Law & Order.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Scarlett; his wife, Dorma Nell Beck Scarlett; one brother, Travis Spitznagle; two brothers-in-law, Steven Hawk and Bill Oster; and one great-niece; and one great-nephew.
He is survived by his mother, Beverly Spitznagle of Wapello, IA; seven siblings, Kathy Blair (David) of Cornersville, IN, Daryl Scarlett of Wapello, IA, Randy Scarlett (Cheryl) of OR, Billie Scarlett of Wapello, IA, Faye Oster of MN, Tammy Hawk of Morning Sun, IA, and Ivan Spitznagle (Kimberly) of Morning Sun , IA; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Jim Beck (Dixie) of Ethridge, TN; two step-sons, James Bradley Furlough (Barbara) of Charlotte, TN, and Daniel Andrew Furlough (Carol) of Lawrenceburg, TN; one step-granddaughter, Shalya Furlough of Antioch, TN; several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by Neal Funeral Home, 231 N. Military Avenue, Lawrenceburg, Tennessee. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 03, 2024, at Neal Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted at Neal Funeral Home at 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 03, 2024, with Harold Petty officiating. Interment will follow at Lawrence County Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceburg, TN.
