Raymond Lee Burcham, Sr., 70, Russellville, passed away on Saturday, October 13, 2012 at Shoals Hospital.
He was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church. He was a truck driver.
The visitation will be 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Monday, October 15, 2012 at Spry Memorial Chapel. The funeral will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, 2012 at Spry Memorial Chapel. Officiating at the service will be Rev. John Barton. Burial will follow at Franklin Memory Gardens.
He is survived by his sons, Raymond Lee Burcham, Jr., (wife, Lanette), Thomas William Burcham (wife, Tracey; grandchildren, Benjamin “Benji” Burcham, Alex Burcham, Whitney Elizabeth Burcham; brothers, Arnold Burcham, William Burcham (wife, Tereasa); sisters, Dorothy Abbott (husband, Virshel), Fayrene Thornton (husband, Randy); brother-in-law, Paul Chambers (wife, Linda); and a host of nieces & nephews.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Velma Chambers Burcham; parents, Garvin & Earline Burcham.
The pallbearers will be David Burcham, Chris Herring, “Little Buck” Chambers, Aaron Welch, Chris Kinard, and Willie Clemons. The honorary pallbearers will be Benji Burcham, Whitney Burcham, and Alex Burcham.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Shoals Hospital ER & ICU, Mt. Zion Baptist Church, and Spry Memorial Chapel for the love and prayers, as well as for the food brought to the family.
