Raymond Lanford DeVaney, 67, of Leighton, AL passed away Tuesday, May 31, 2016. Visitation will be Friday, June 03, 2016 from 11:00 a.m.- 1:00 p.m. at Colbert Memorial Chapel with service to follow at 1:00 p.m. in chapel. Raymond was a member of Iron Workers Local #477. He was of the Baptist Faith and attended Mt. Moriah.
Preceded in death by parents, Lanford and Ruth DeVaney; brother, James DeVaney; sisters, Bobbie Brown, Joyce Herston, and Mattie Green.
Survivors are wife of 48 wonderful years, Barbara DeVaney; son, Christopher DeVaney; daughter, Stacie Burden; brother, Gary DeVaney (Beth); sisters, Norma DeVaney, Faye Gargis, and Margie Smith; grandchildren, DeAnna Hutto (Chris), Dylan Burden, Bailee Burden, Arianna Burden, and Aiden Burden; great grandchildren, Holden Luke Hutto, Sutton Blair Hutto, and a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Jason DeVaney, Mike DeVaney, Corey Gargis, Jackie Gargis, Jared Mothershed, and Morgan Gargis.
In lieu of flowers donate to Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Building Fund in Spring Valley.
Colbert Memorial Chapel is assisting the family.
