  Raymond Harding “Ray” Morrow Jr. Profile PhotoRaymond Harding “Ray” Morrow Jr., 77, retired employee for the Tennessee Department of Agriculture and resident of Culleoka, died Sunday, September 8, 2024 at his residence.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday September 11, 2024 at 1:00 P.M. at Wilkes Cemetery with Troy Dugger and Jimmy Burton officiating. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors are assisting the family with arrangements.

Born May 5, 1947 in Columbia, he was the son of the late Raymond Harding Morrow Sr. and the late Anne Hargrove Morrow. Before working in the weights and measures division for the Tennessee Department of Agriculture, Ray served as a Livestock Inspector for 35 years and farmed his entire life. He was formerly a very active coon hunter, and a softball coach for the Culleoka Recreational League. Ray was an avid Tennessee football fan and an Atlanta Braves fan. He was a member of the Culleoka Church of Christ.

He is survived by his sons, John Brian “Bear” Morrow, and Jason Bradley “Duck” Morrow; step-son, Mike (Jennifer) Goldman; brother, William “Boone” (Kathy) Morrow; sisters, Carol Ann (Kenneth) Haynes, and Mary Jean (Harry) Law; granddaughter, Annsley Morrow; step-grandchildren, Aubrey Grace (Thomas) Morgan, and Cole Goldman; and five nieces and a nephew.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 20 years, Dottie Craig Morrow.

Pallbearers will be Jimmy Burton, David Craig, Tom Vierra, Jason Hardison, Tony Senter, and Steve Huey. Honorary pallbearers will include Alton and Donna Walker, Stanley and Debbie Scott, Jim Thrasher, Johnny Robinson, Nick Johnson, and Nelson and Marie Huey.
