Rayburn Rogers – Obituary

A Memorial service for Rayburn Rogers, 72, will be held Saturday, June 13, 2015, at 2 p.m. at Roselawn Funeral Home Chapel with Larry Little officiating. A time of gathering with the family will be at 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Rogers passed away June 5, 2015, at Ardmore Health and Rehabilitation Center in Tennessee. He was born November 28, 1942, in Lawrence County. He is preceded in death by his parents, Irwin Paul Rogers and Meveline Long Rogers, both of Decatur.
Survivors include two daughters, Sebrina Renee England, Melissa Ann Koch (Daniel); four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Mr. Rogers was a graduate of Decatur High School. He was an engineering draftsman at Decatur Iron and Steel, a purchasing agent at Ipsco in Decatur and retired from his Prudential Insurance business. He loved Auburn football, hunting, fishing and target shooting. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Decatur, and was a Cahaba Shriner.
