Rayburn Damron, 84, of Hazel Green, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022.
He worked in the construction industry for many years. He was partner in J & R Pools until his retirement and he also owned and operated Butter and Egg Grocery in the Lickskillet Community for 29 years.
He was preceded in death by his wife: Billie Douglas Damron; father: Wilson Damron; mother: Lorene Damron; sister: Dean Wilburn; and son-in-law: Donnie Jones.
He is survived by his children: Candy Jones, Donna and Rickey George; and Tammy and Ralph Clark; sister: Bobbie Richardson; Grandchildren: Neal Sharp, Nicholas Damron, Adam Zwilling, Natasha Coddington, and Ally McGriff; 8 great great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Sunday beginning at 11:30 at Hazel Green Funeral Home followed by funeral services at 2:00 PM. Burial will be in New Sharon Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital.
